1. Who this site is for
This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over who are resident in the United Kingdom. It is not directed at children, and it is not intended for use outside the UK.
2. Medical and clinical disclaimer
The content here is general information about gambling harm and the support available in the UK. It is not a diagnosis, a medical opinion, or a substitute for advice from your GP, an NHS clinician or another qualified professional. The self-check is a screening questionnaire, not a diagnostic test, and its result carries no clinical status.

3. No promotion of gambling
This site does not advertise, promote, facilitate or provide access to any gambling product or service. It contains no operator advertising, no affiliate links, no bonus offers and no commercial relationship with any gambling business.
4. No outcome guaranteed
Recovery varies from person to person. Nothing on this site is a promise, guarantee or prediction of any particular result, and no success rate is claimed.
5. Content, accuracy and links
We take care to keep pages accurate and current, and we review them at least twice a year, but we give no warranty that everything is complete or error-free at any given moment. External sites we link to are not under our control; we are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement. Please tell us about anything out of date and we will correct it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site unlawfully, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, not to introduce malicious code, not to scrape or copy it at scale, and not to misrepresent your identity when contacting us. This site hosts no forums, comments or user-generated content, so nothing you send is published.
7. Intellectual property
All text, design and code on this site is owned by UK Gambling Help and protected by copyright, except where third-party names are used. Names such as GamCare, GAMSTOP, Gamblers Anonymous, NHS, StepChange and Samaritans are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively, to identify those services, with no claim of affiliation or endorsement. You may print or share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. Republishing our content commercially requires written permission.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the site available at all times but may suspend it for maintenance or reasons outside our control, without notice and without liability.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on the content of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version always sits at this address with its date. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
