Accessibility
People often reach this site tired, stressed or on an old phone with a poor signal. It is built for that.
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means:
- Every page works with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- Semantic headings and landmarks, and a skip link to the main content
- Text contrast tested against AA thresholds, and no meaning carried by colour alone
- Text resizes to 200% without breaking the layout, and reflows to narrow screens
- Animation is disabled automatically when your device asks for reduced motion
- Form fields have real labels, hints and error messages announced to screen readers
- No pop-ups, interstitials, auto-playing media or content that hijacks scrolling
- Pages are lightweight and load quickly on a slow mobile connection
Known limits
Some third-party sites we link to are outside our control and may be less accessible than this one. The self-check requires JavaScript to score; if you have it turned off, the questions are still readable and we will happily go through them with you by phone.
